Summary
Light blue eyes, messy black hair, face visibly tired and sad. A man just barely shorter than him. The woman that bumps into him as fireworks explode overhead apologizes, and then goes on her way without noticing anything wrong with the exchange. To everyone else, that man is human, but Rengoku's senses tell him that that man is anything but.
The two of them lock eyes, and Rengoku stiffens. His hand is immediately on the hilt of his sword, muscles taught with anticipation of provocation. Instead, all that happens is that the demon turns away and disappears.

Izuku’s hands were shaking by the time the false bravado of the news anchor fell silent with the quiet, static-laced hum of the television going dead. He choked, jolting upright as green eyes stretched wide.
“I dunno why you bother listening to that crap.”
Kacchan sat upright in his hospital bed, IV drip still hooked up and thick, blonde spikes in disarray. His jaw was set in a harsh scowl and red eyes were narrowed into cold, ruby chips as he shot Izuku a pointed glare.
OR: A post-canon fix-it where Izuku grapples with all of the feelings he pushed under the surface when Kacchan lands in the hospital in the line of duty--featuring awkward firsts, hero duos, threats to kick each other's asses, and critiquing kiss techniques. Not necessarily in that order.

He grabs his younger self by the scruff of the neck and hauls him away from Izuku, slamming him up against the wall. His younger self struggles, at least until he opens his eyes and sees who his attacker is. Izuku reacts in much the same way; ever the hero, he grabs Katsuki's arm as he tries in vain to haul him away from his younger self.
"Leave him alone!" He shouts, until he catches sight of who the attacker actually is. "K-K-acchan?"

“Maybe later.” Izuku shakes his head. “I want everyone to see that tonight? You’re mine.”

It starts with a fight, as everything with them starts or ends in a fight anyway.
It starts with a fight about Sasuke being an asshole and Naruto being an annoyance. It turns into a fight about Sasuke feeling justified in his assholeness and Naruto feeling justified in beating it out of him. Then it turns into a fight about Sasuke refusing to admit that Naruto's burden is anything like his own, and Naruto ending the dispute with a, "Well, my curse seal is bigger than yours anyway," which is a really stupid thing to say, and yet, like all Naruto things, really shouldn't mean as much as it does.
