“A cat?..” Even as someone who could turn into a tiger, he was really struggling to follow the man’s metaphor.
“Yes, a cat.” The omega repeated before he withdrew his bandaged arm and placed it over his chest. “Cats are willful creatures, you know. They come and go as they please.”

“So you can either let the cat sit on your porch or throw it out.” He finished his speech, waving at Atsushi. “Your choice.”Dazai hates his second nature, being an omega who's purpose is to submit to others. As a mafia executive, if he wants to live and preserve his freedom he can't allow anyone to learn his secret. But after an alpha from the Detective Agency saves him with unusual care, Dazai lets him live. And since Atsushi already knows his secret... he's the only person Dazai doesn't have to hide it from. And so, an unusual deal is formed.

You let out a startled shout and whirled around at the unexpected voice, nearly losing your balance.
Two people stood on the sidewalk. One of them was a blonde woman in a purple costume, while the other was a slim figure in a black outfit with gold detailing, who you were pretty sure was another woman based on their stance but couldn't be completely sure. Both vigilantes - because that’s obviously who they were - had some kind of cloth mask covering the bottom half of their face that reminded you of cliche movie ninjas.
"Reflexes aren't bad," the blonde woman declared. She glanced over at the other person. "What'd you think?"
They were silent for a while, and you felt like their eyes, which were the only thing you could see above the mask, were cutting into and evaluating you. Finally they nodded. “Acceptable,” the woman under the mask decided.

They were at a spring festival. He was luckier that the colors were better on the eyes, less that everyone around him was talking ecstatically about it and the new objective. It already felt stuffy in there as Caine took pride this time in trying to make the place look and feel more realistic. Jax had to give a small applause as he could feel the oppressing sun beaming on his body already, and everyone was too close without order on how to even stand together.

“Excuse me,” Dazai plants a hand on the short redhead boy’s muscled, bare shoulder. “Any chance you’re Chuuya Nakahara?”
But, instead of an answer, the redhead wobbles and proceeds to collapse.
“Woah there.” Dazai catches the boy in his arms, one under his shoulders and the other scooping up his knees, before the boy can face-plant into the dirt.
A frown mars Dazai’s lips as he examines the boy: Same copper-colored hair, height, and shockingly dark eyebags as all the descriptions of Nakahara that the Port Mafia has obtained. But Dazai was told that Nakahara did not sleep, and, for whatever reason, the boy curling into his arms is clearly out cold.
Well, this is quite the predicament.
Or the 5+1 in which Dazai gets a crush on Chuuya, who can’t sleep unless in contact with No Longer Human, which leads to Chuuya never joining the mafia.

But, instead of bowing down and apologizing, Dazai laughs. It’s a full-blown, ugly, real laugh.
“You think you’re a god? Ah, great. Mori didn’t tell me you were delusional.” A hand pats his shoulder. “That’s alright, Chuuya. I don’t mind if you’re a bit bonkers. I’m sure we’ll get along just fine.”

Summary
After an incident at the world-famous Ebott Aquarium, you find yourself placed on a team of staff dedicated to the care of the prize exhibits at the facility; three notoriously aggressive skeleton siren monsters captured in the name of 'research'. An orca with a disturbing record of finding new ways to attempt to drown his keepers, a shark who's excellent at removing whatever stray hands come his way, and a deep-sea octopus whose past (and body count) are hidden behind endless stacks of legal papers. Despite their pattern of brutally murdering their ever-changing team of keepers, they all seem to immediately take a shine to you- a worryingly bright shine. A shine that won't go away, a shine that starts to unnerve you.
However, the longer you work there, the more you see the inner workings of Ebott Aquarium. The more you realise the sirens you're 'caring for' aren't dumb beasts, they're deeply intelligent... they aren't mindlessly aggressive, they've gone insane, locked in those tiny glass cages.
... The more you interact with the sirens... the more you realise their murderous aggression might not be all that misplaced.

Atsushi peered down where Dazai was pointing, and saw a very small, very fluffy ginger cat. It was almost ludicrously nonthreatening, though he had to admit that it was giving Dazai an impressive stink eye. As Atsushi watched, the cat lunged at the desk and raked its claws down the side, stretching up in an attempt to get at the detective. Dazai shrieked and pulled his limbs farther from the edge.
“You see?” Dazai said, glaring back down at it. “It’s a demon!”
[Alternatively, Chuuya gets turned into a cat, panics, and proceeds to chase Dazai around Yokohama.]
