Shrimpo growled, grumbling under his breath before a defeated look pasted itself over his face. Goob took this as a sign that he would be compliant and removed his hand, leaning in and kissing Shrimpo once more. Now whispering, Shrimpo questioned Goob.
"YOU.... REALLY WANT THIS, HUH?"
"Mhm."
"FINE, BUT DON'T GET CARRIED AWAY."
Goob backed up and slid himself underneath the blanket from the bottom, stopping as he got to Shrimpo's waist, pulling down his sweatpants just enough to see his prize.

Summary
After a heated argument with Glisten that gets them both in trouble, Shrimpo escapes his time-out room with Finn and finds something he shouldn't have: The Gardenview files.
When he realizes his whole existence is a joke and the few things he was useful for are now gone, he starts to notice some things. About himself, about others, and new opportunities are opened for the once angry shrimp. Some worse than others. Which doors will he open, if at all? Will he take the opportunity to change, or slowly die trying?
Some toons are rooting for him. Some toons believe that he can't succeed, that he is physically incapable of change.

“We’re in a desperate time right now… please stop, and just open the door.” He really doesn’t want to deal with Dandy.
Dandy’s expression twists.
“Looks like someone’s getting more pissed and desperate~.” This time it’s Vee, her voice dripping with mockery and laughter.
“We’re not here to waste time on you, Dancifer. Open the door.”
“You—” Before the argument can continue, the whole elevator shakes violently.
No one has ever felt shaking like this not even Dandy.“BARK! BARK!” Pebble barks.
“GUYS, WHAT’S HAPPENING?!” Shelly screams.
“EVERYONE STAY CALM!” Sprout orders.
Astro curls into his blanket, trembling.
“DANDY! WHAT DID YOU DO?!” Vee yells, panicked.
“IT’S NOT ME, YOU OUTDATED—”

His head whipped around so fast he felt his neck groan in protest.
Her mother just slapped her.
Her mother.
Now that he’s seen it, Glisten’s memory cranked back to when she was talking to him, and that she had a bruise somewhere on her wrist. How did he not notice it earlier?! Him and his stupid self-absorbed brain!
It led his instincts to go overdrive. His body moved without thinking, and soon enough, he was in front of the girl, a hand out to shield her, and the other in a tight fist.
He took a deep breath in and crossed his arms, trying to appear intimidating, which probably didn’t work because the mother was, like, twice his height. Still, his eyes dulled into a half-lidded, sharp expression, the shine in it gone.
“What do you think you’re doing?” Glisten spat, blocking the girl from her mother’s line of sight.
