Summary
Robert knew it could happen. The damage to his back from the fall was immense, and there was a chance, but he didn't think it would happen. He didn't think his legs would give up on him. He didn't think there might be a way to fix it. He didn't think the team would care. Seems he got a lot wrong. Summary

As Ghost befriends him again, the two of them navigate their new friendship in their regular civilian life. Side effects from the brain injury have caused Soap to struggle with daily life sometimes, but Ghost is devoted to helping him through it while hiding the reality of their true relationship. As they grow closer, Ghost's love is steadfast and pure and with his consistent kindness and support, Soap can't help but begin to wonder what Ghost's hands would feel like on his body or the softness of his lips pressed against his.

All eyes immediately turned to where Batman sat with his arms crossed, looking impassive as always. There was a long moment of silence and the corners of Batman’s mouth turned ever so slightly downward. Finally, in a flat tone of voice that gave no more away than his face ever did, he said, “He’s… well trained. Fast. Could be useful.”
