Summary
"We're really sorry," his father says, in a teary-eyed, wobbly way. "But your friend, Izuku, he's... He's gone, son."
Katsuki can do nothing but blink up at them for moments that feel like an eternity, eyes darting between both his parents in obvious confusion, disbelief, and, more than anything, indignation.
"What the fuck are you two talking about? The damn nerd is standing right beside you!"During a battle, Midoriya gets hit by a villain whose quirk detaches his soul from his body. Stuck in a ghost-like state, the boy enters a race against time in order to save himself from permanently dying. Much to his luck - or lack of it -, the only person who can see and talk to him in this state is no one other than Kacchan.
Alternatively: Deku and Kacchan are soulbound.

I had like 17 massive tweak outs while reading this. It’s good. It’s really that good

Summary
Katsuki watches Izuku stand bewilderedly in the street, half in and half out of a nearby streetlamp like an amateur without enough sense to understand if they are lead player or stagehand. Half of his hair shines in the light like he could be wearing a jagged halo. The other half of his face is nothing but a shadow with an opinion all its own - perhaps a smirk hidden like a dagger in the night, or a judgemental frown, or something that Katsuki couldn’t comprehend even if someone explained it to him.
“Fucker,” says Katsuki, but his eyes don’t move from the sliver in the curtains until Izuku finally steps out of the streetlight and on the path to his own home.
They are neighbors. They are from completely different worlds. They are growing apart. They are victims to something they don’t have the words for yet.

Summary
They laugh sharply and growl and snarl and talk loud with their bodies like animals. The way they move and speak makes it seem like being human is the act, the pretending game. There is an edge to them that almost feels dangerous, raw and feral.
In other words, fish boys do not stop being fish boys just because they look human.

Summary
This is a mock-scientific paper (written in the year 1999) detailing the history and physiology of the race of 'Sea Monsters' present in the Pixar movie Luca. This work is written as though it was from a human researcher that is collaborating with several Sea Monster communities (information, healthy participants, and cadavers) to introduce the specifics of their biology to the scientific community. (Almost) All features are assumed to be and explained exactly as they are shown in the movie, making this work cannon-compliant. If you wish to know how any physiological traits that Luca and Alberto (and co.) demonstrate in the movie would work in the real world, then this is for you!
Warning: This is a very sciencey text - which means it is dry with a lot of jargon while discussing biology & physiology. Again, this is a mock-scientific paper, NOT a story!
