Summary
The Addams have a curse that strikes many in their line, but Wednesday had always avoided it, largely by avoiding people altogether. When a storm-drenched young woman shows up on her doorstep while her family is away on vacation, though, Wednesday's only thought is to have her sent away as soon as possible, but there's something strangely familiar about the girl. Fearsome tales told to all the children of the human kingdoms of Azeroth of satyr and wyvern and trolls and all the wild, fearsome things that once ruled the land. They are almost as fabled and feared as those that tamed the wilds with magic so powerful as to be incomprehensible.
High Elves, the humans called them. Ruled by an all-powerful queen. Hidden away behind invisible barriers in a land of perpetual warmth and beauty. For the elves had tamed all things. Even nature, itself.
The betrothal of Jaina Proudmoore, the first human with magic in her veins, to a Lord of the elven royalty was a convenient way for the humans to rid themselves of the perceived threat of a dangerous young woman with a gift none of them understood. If you wanted Sylvanas and Jaina in a storybook romance but with canon-typical tension and violence and risk, then the is perfect. Their relationship flows very smoothly and lovingly and is the anchor point against a cruel world rather than them struggling to get to the relationship, despite it being slow burn.

Summary
Sylvanas Windrunner has defeated Varok Saurfang in a Mak’gora and seemingly abandoned her Horde. Jaina Proudmoore and First Arcanist Thalyssra suspect something is amiss and are determined to discover what is truly happening with Sylvanas... at any cost.
The story covers my take on 8.3 (Ny’alotha) and 9.0 (Shadowlands), with brief detours before we get to the Sylvaina, and featuring some hopefully enjoyable narrative twists and turns along the way.
Annnnnnd the Sylvaina is now in full swing.

Finally, the time has come for her to lie down next to Sylvanas to seek the eternal slumber she has earned many, many times over. The time has come for her to join her beloved wife once more.
But, much like rest, peace has a way of eluding the aging former Archmage. The threads of realities she has never considered are coming unwoven and fate is tugging at her once more to answer its relentless call. As the sands of time begin to fall up instead of down, the Shadowlands await.

Summary
The war has not gone well for anyone. The Alliance has three months left before collapse. The Horde is not much better off. With neither victory or death as options, Sylvanas proposes an alternative. A treaty, to ease tensions and open borders, with a political hostage to ensure that both sides stay in line. A marriage with many political implications and Sylvanas would only accept one person. Jaina Proudmoore.
And Jaina Proudmoore made for the perfect hostage. If the Alliance moves wrong, Jaina dies. The Horde attacks, and Jaina reduces Orgrimmar to a wisp of a memory in the minds of children.
Of course, no one expected Sylvanas and Jaina to be anything more than uneasy partners with each other, least of all Sylvanas and Jaina...

Jaina Proudmoore is the most powerful mortal mage of Azeroth, and she is sick of every other Horde Warchief turning out to be a despot like clockwork. When Sylvanas Windrunner wins her mak'gora against Varok Saurfang, Jaina's patience comes to an end - and so does Sylvanas' reign.
Sylvanas is spared execution so that she will not become a martyr to her loyalists and to Horde sovereignty, but she is demoted and placed under house arrest - and Jaina herself will be the banshee's watcher. Because if there is one other thing Jaina is sick of, it's the collapse of every community she tries to nurture, her seemingly poison touch. But this vigil over a single banshee seems like something she can manage without it wilting and crumbling in her hands.
Cut off from her resources and forced to exercise what power she still has through intermediaries, Sylvanas spends her days mostly alone under Jaina's watch. She worked to protect the Forsaken against an evil that lurks beyond Death; she tried to save her people from eradication; she tried to draw out and crush their enemies. Now, unable to pursue these enemies real or imagined, what is left for her to become?
