"How come you tell everyone about me?" At the way Alberto's shoulders dropped, Luca shook his head, trying to clarify his intentions.
"Not that I'm mad or anything. I just- I didn't know you thought about me."
"What?" The bewildered expression on Alberto's face sent a shiver down Luca's spine.
"I figured you would make new friends and I would be out of your mind," Luca said with a chuckle, though Alberto could tell that he meant it, that this was something that Luca was genuinely concerned about.
"Luca you are always on my mind," Alberto hoped that it sounded casual but even if it didn't (which he knew was probably the case), he didn't care as long as Luca knew.

He looked at his closet and then back at the shirt he was wearing. She was right, as Giulia often was. Luca knew that between the first summer and now, he had taken more than just one of Alberto’s clothes. Some he borrowed and then forgot to give back to him, some that got mixed in with his laundry when Luca changed in his room after a day out swimming. And if Luca were to admit, there was one shirt he kept on purpose because it reminded him of Alberto and he liked the way he looked in something of his.

It sank in then. The realization hit him full speed, knocking his breath away. He liked having some of Alberto’s physical things because it was a reminder of the boy he liked. In a not platonic way.
