Summary
It was in Roy's best interest to keep his cards close to his chest until he had a better opportunity to use them. And the best way to make that happen was to give his captors no reason to believe he had any cards up his sleeve at all.
Incapable, the newspaper had called him. It irked him, in a way that being called a slacker or a womaniser never had. At least those opinions had been by his design, something he'd not only controlled, but used to his advantage.
But perhaps, for once, the idea that he was incapable could be of use to him too.
