Summary
After a nightmarish week dealing with alternate universe doppelgangers running amuck, Jason and Tim pick out a password, just in case any equally hot Jasons show up. (Tim wonders if they'll be as humble as his Jason.) It turns into an inside joke, a silly ritual when they go on bagel runs, or show up at odd hours with intel. They almost forget about the possibility of doppelganger encounters.
Until Jason has a run-in with a shape shifter.

Tim made a disgusted noise and pointed accusingly. “See? That’s why the ocean is a mistake.”
“It wasn’t even a real sting!” Jason howled with laughter, doubling over as Dick shot him an offended glare.
“You weren’t there! It had tentacles!”
“Everything in the ocean has tentacles, Goldfish Brain.”
Meanwhile, Damian, still watching from the side, tilted his head. “Drake is right. This place is full of threats.”
Tim preened. “Thank you, Damian.”
“I say we take over the lifeguard tower and declare this land ours.”
“…Okay, maybe not that.”
Bruce groaned into his hands.

“Red Robin?” Dick asked with an undercurrent of worry. He faced TIm with a frown, then glanced over at Jason. Bruce was very obviously listening in on the comms, but so far had elected to stay out of his children’s shenanigans.
Jason grinned smugly, having taken off his helmet so he only had on his domino, “Yum!”
“Hood what is this nonsense?” Damian nearly hissed. At least someone was as annoyed with this moment as Tim.
“Well see, lil baby bird neglected to mention to us that he’s not the only one to use the name Red Robin.”

Fuck. Fuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuck. This was so not meant to happen. Tim painstakingly ran a hand through his already unruly hair looking around wildly in the hopes that he would see it.
It being the glob of… something he had created. Something which was supposed to be in the petri dish in front of him that was very evidently empty.
So fuck.
Alfred is going to kill him when he finds out Tim let a sentient glob of what he thinks is the leftover parts of his attempt at a Frankenstein recreation run loose in the Batcave. (He’s named it Frank.)
Well, Frank had escaped his home and was now loose in the Batcave and he had–Tim glanced at his watch– around half an hour to find it.
At times like these, Tim would like to say that he did the responsible thing and told an adult or enlisted his siblings to help in the search for Frank. Of course, since he's anything but responsible, he did nothing of the sort and instead, engaged the Batcave lockdown protocol.
