A story always needs conflict. As an author, Shang Taio understood that. Sure he could write a fluff piece about a boy named Luo Binghe who lived a lovely life. He would have a devoted mother, demon father and be loved.
However a story without conflict is not a story at all. Proud Immortal Demon Way was not a happy novel.

They had left the arena with second or third degree burns and the crowd had cheered while he had looked unsatisfied with his number 2 place for the third time in a row. The growing star All Might had swiped the number one spot out from beneath him and he had boiled over. His medal had visibly began to droop as it became more a liquid under his overwhelming heat and Rei had won his eye.
