Summary
The Hazardous Environment Combat Unit was a military force sent over to the Black Mesa Research Facility to cover up the gruesome invasion of the facility by a hostile alien force. This cover up was a catastrophic failure, with many lives lost and the remaining survivors forced to retreat from the facility. However, in the haste of said retreat, many were abandoned, left to fend for themselves against the onslaught of alien attacks.
One of these many soldiers was a corporal named Adrian Shephard.
This is his story.
