Egg is back at court. Dunk is given the thankless task of keeping an eye on Aerion. The Red Keep receives Aerion’s return with all the warmth and grace of a kicked hornet’s nest.
Dunk remembers Aerion as beautiful, cruel, and deeply alarming. What he gets instead is a prince who speaks in foreign tongues, makes himself useful in deeply irritating ways, and may or may not have actually changed, which is frankly worse.
