Katsuki looked up at the sky. It was dark. Really dark. There was a single lamppost on the whole playground, about twenty metres away from the boys. It flickered here and there, from time to time. Other than that, they were completely alone and in the dark.

Katsuki looked over at Kariage. He was fishing out a new one from the box. He wondered if they tasted better than last time. Kariage glanced at him, giving him a sly smirk before throwing the finished cig somewhere on the ground. Katsuki huffed.
“Mitsuki threw me out.”

After the death of Katsuki's best friend, he finds himself thrown out of his own house. As he searches for some sort of stability -in between an illegal apartment in Yokohama, a shitty job and less shitty people-, trouble seems to follow him wherever he goes. It isn't long before the entirety of Hero Society is in shambles, but one question remains: What the fuck is Stardust?

Winter came earlier that year. Between the countless hours of tanning the deer hide she had gotten from Loris, and helping her sister move out of their old man’s house, Violet almost didn’t notice. What tipped her off wasn’t the southern migration of the birds that had nested in the upper corner of the shed, nor the footprints in the backyard of the elusive fox that had been spotted in the village a fortnight ago. It wasn’t even the dripping of her kitchen tap that would close up during the colder months and required an annoyingly wet hour of screwing and unscrewing to fix.

As strange as it might sound, it was starting to grow on him. The feeling of long lost nostalgia, paired with the shared sadness the mountains and the beach shared. How it felt like he had been standing in the same place for hours yet nothing in his surroundings had changed in the slightest. It brought tears to his eyes.
Yet he couldn’t bring himself to let them fall. He just couldn’t. Something about the way the birds flocked behind him by the peak of the mountain, the way the highway suddenly seemed so unused even though he himself had been driving it not too long ago. He knew what it meant if he let himself cry. He couldn’t.

When the class first meet Bakugou and Midoriya, it's more than obvious that they already knew each other. That they're best friends, and surely have been for a long time.It's also very obvious that they have a lot of trauma, from the scowls and the skittishness, to the scars and the support. There are things in their past that have been unhappy.
And yet Midoriya still smiles at them every morning, and Bakugou still cooks for them all every night, and the class might not yet know their secrets, but that's okay. They're content to be patient, to be happy together through the good days and the bad.
They all love each other after all.
