One more thing can alter the course of the future.
If the life of a padawan is changed slightly, it may not save the whole galaxy, but it makes a short life long and can help ease the pain of hearts in darkness. Some things are always meant to happen the same, but just one more Jedi can still alter the future in compounding ways.

Summary
Old Ben Kenobi abides by Owen’s wishes and doesn’t teach Luke to use the Force.
But he accidentally ends up teaching other things, starting with Mon Calamari legends, and moving on through the languages, histories, and cardgames of the galaxy. The Jedi, after all, taught so much more than just how to swing a lightsaber, or even their own philosophies.
Luke loves to learn. He soaks up information like a sponge, and makes brilliant deductions, but sometimes those leaps of logic might be… a little bit off. Like when he decides that Ben is obviously Mandalorian.

Summary
Honoring his master’s dying wish, Obi-Wan Kenobi trains Anakin Skywalker despite the Jedi Order’s reluctance to accept such an “old” student tainted by fear and anger. Himself still young and inexperienced, Obi-Wan trusts in the Force to do right by his new Padawan. It’s no simple task, but when was anything this rewarding ever easy?
“Oh, light, please protect him,” whispers Obi-Wan Kenobi, “and show me. Show him to me.”
Anakin has been exceptionally cooperative lately, especially with his attention during lessons and opening up with the other younglings. They admire him: a student their own age who is already leagues more adept despite only discovering his abilities months ago. Anakin is unbreakably proud, so he basks in that attention even though he’s still painfully shy in his new home. It was comforting to see him getting along, Obi-Wan thinks, comforting to see him treating himself as less of an outsider. A certain level of detachment is essential, but so is companionship that might help fill the spaces left by the little Rodian and the human boy he speaks of often but is slowly learning to let go of. Anakin seemed to be doing so well, but now he’s gone.

Summary
Jamie, if asked, would call herself a relatively normal person. She led a normal life - she could even risk calling it quite a boring one. She attended college, had a dog, occasionally went out. Nothing was out of the ordinary... until that one, fateful day.
After waking up on a street corner on Coruscant after a seemingly typical night out with friends, it would be safe to say that everything had changed. And not for the better.
Now the girl has to prevail in a crazy, supposedly-fictional place with nothing but her clothes and phone.
Wishing herself good luck doesn't quite cut it.
