“This is actually happening. Oh my god this is real, what the shit…” I turn around from my position on the floor to see The Boy crouched inches from my face. I give an undignified yelp and scramble as far back as I can without tipping over the edge.
He gives me that bright grin and announces “I’m Monkey D. Luffy! I’m gonna be King of the Pirates!” Then he cocks his head to the side. “Who’re you?”

Working as a Jester has odd hours and odder customers, but the one thing that the job promises is *safety.* No executions, no unsavory attention, and certainly no shady dealings—let alone the strange bounty hunter who appears prowling through town, right alongside a mysterious string of disappearances.
For some reason, Rook Hunt, bounty hunter and local menace, has taken an interest in the jester with a sharp tongue and terrible survival instincts. So, here Yuu was, teaching this literal murderer how to dance. After all. How rare is it that someone manages to make the *Jester* laugh?

Summary
The crux of the matter is that Kakashi’s old. By the time he finally gives up the hat, he’s nearly forty and growing older, and while he’s faced death too many times to still remember to fear it, he certainly thinks about it. He can’t help it. He blames the Nidaime — staring at Senju Tobirama’s reanimated face reminds Kakashi of everything that will die with him: his clan, their history, an entire generation. The realization leaves him unsettled, and as his body starts to ache more and more, he finds himself wishing for a world in which he isn’t so alone.
Or, Kakashi returns to the Hatake compound in an attempt to speak with his ancestors and promptly forgets that the Hiraishin is, above all else, an experimental time/space jutsu. By activating it, he finds himself in a world not quite like his own.

Like anyone else, you can learn many things about society from children… I just worry that you won’t have anyone to turn to if you have any serious problems." Toudou opens a section of plating inside of Power Joe’s left leg to access the broken side-link. “If you were in danger, would you go to them for advice?”
Power Joe jerks back, jostling the engineer’s steady arm.
“Sorry!” Power Joe laughs self-consciously. “No, of course not! A lot of the things we deal with on a regular basis are pretty… scary. I would never hurt the kids.”
