Shane pulled his phone away from his ear. The call hadn’t even lasted a minute, and somehow fundamentally changed the trajectory of his summer.Shane knew a lot about hockey, but not a lot about other things. But at this moment he thought about how his dad explained the butterfly effect. How the effect of a small thing could cause the outcome of a large thing. A butterfly flaps its wings and somehow contributes to a tornado.
(Or something like that, he doesn’t know, his dad was really into the movie when Shane was a kid, he thinks it had something to do with physics and chaos theory.)
He wondered if there was a small thing that led Scott Hunter to somehow summon a man onto the ice and passionately kiss him, that is now leading to Ilya Rozanov staying with Shane at his home for part of the summer.
