A fight for the top album spot leads into Sonic and Shadow fake dating- it's just for the public, it's just for the mountain of publicity it brings them. And really it's harmless, it only brings more money into the restoration project- a project that seeks to undo all the damage Eggman has done to the world. At least it was harmless, until it starts bringing up feelings that Sonic and Shadow don't know if they are prepared to deal with.
