“Timothy,” Damian can’t help but gasp. He had suspected — he had come all this way to check — but still, seeing him is a gut punch. He looks almost the same as he did at his funeral, sans suit and tie. A little older, maybe, with a white streak at the front of his hair. And his eyes — a terrible Lazarus green.
“My lord,” Timothy says, dropping to kneel. It’s a practiced motion, fluid, and completely unlike himself.

The word ‘metal’ flings itself around in his skull, over and OVER and over and, metal turns to mental and Junior is laughing, wheezing, choking over trying to tell Daddy the joke that is in there somewhere, somewhere, he just has to find a way to make it funny.
And Daddy smiles so so wide at him, and maybe he has managed to make it a joke - a joke that can be heard - after all.
The part that is and isn’t Junior screams, he screams in unison, inside, inside, so Daddy can’t hear.
He bundles it all up, the anger and the fear and the terror terror, he has it and holds it and twists, shaking, until it burns into manic, sparking excitement.

Jason Todd has had a very complicated evening that, until now, has still gone more or less according to plan: he confirmed his current combat teacher is a scumbag who's been trafficking children; he rescued the most recent batch of said children; turned them in to the local embassy; and then came back to confront/kill the aforementioned trafficking monster.
But he's pretty sure what's left of the "kill the bastard" step, has gone off the rails just a wee bit. And he... well, he thinks he can be forgiven for freezing a little, given how.
Because while he did put poison in that bastard's shitty energy drink, he knows for a damn fact he didn't put what was clearly Joker Venom in it.

JJ swam to consciousness slowly to the sound of blaring alarms. Eyelids too heavy to open, he could feel straps around his wrists, ankles, and waist along with things strapped to their head. He could tell he was strapped to a table that was tilted up at a steep angle instead of being completely horizontal. This was sickeningly familiar and probably why he was currently fronting. He didn’t have any idea how they got in this situation or how long it had been since he had last had to front for Tim, but that didn’t matter, he knew what he had to do. It was his job to protect Tim and he was damn well going to do it.
JJ gets front-stuck after escaping from the League.

Summary
To most people, death heats are the stuff of fantastical tales. In all fairness, they do sound like something out of fiction: an omegan heat far more potent and sweet than any other, triggered only when an omega is under extreme stress and in a situation so precarious they believe themselves to be in fatal danger. A heat that is a last plea for life, designed to coax an attacker into granting mercy and taking the omega as a mate rather than a victim.
Ajax wonders what Bennett would smell like in the throes of a death heat. And so he becomes a serial killer and fucks with Bennett's head until finally cornering him and claiming him.
