Summary
“Shit,” he groans.
Tired eyes blink themselves awake, cringing at the sunlight that breaks through. Tommy’s hand flies up to block it out, his body stretching once he finally sits up from where he’d been lying down.
Somehow, the morning had already managed to be shitty. His throat was dry, he still felt tired, and he’d slept wrong. His back felt stiff and achy, though that also could’ve been from studying.
It doesn’t matter too much anyway.
Tommy puts his hand down, rubs his eyelids and looks around tiredly.
“What the fuck.”
This wasn’t his bedroom.
This wasn’t even his fucking house.
Or; Every time Tommy goes to sleep, he wakes up in a fantastical world filled with magic and mysterious creatures. Eventually it begins to feel more like home than the real world does.

The boy blinks dumbly. “Wait, so I’m… dead?”
Dream scoffs. “No shit. Why else would you be in Hell?”
He furrows his brows. “Wait, then what did I do to get here?!” He looks around as if the answer is somewhere in this strange dimension. “I can’t remember anything about my old life, was I really that bad?!”
Dream says nothing, instead walking away from him. “Your life was… interesting, to say the least.” He looks back dramatically, relishing in the anger on the boy’s face. “I’ve never seen a more unique set of sins in a mortal life.”
He scoffs. “Cut the bullshit, what did I do?!”
The god turns on his heel, lips curling up into a monstrous grin. The slightest hint of fangs peeking out from his mouth. If this guy was going for some sort of creepy vibe, he certainly reached his goal. “Oh, but telling you would just ruin all the fun, now wouldn’t it?”
Or; Tommy remembers nothing upon arriving in Hell. Despite this, he has to pay for the sins of his life in the waking world to avoid eternal punishment via a certain smiley-faced god.
