“Of course,” Zelda said, meeting Wild’s gaze and searching it before folding the sheets she had been carrying. Her Champion looked nervous, in a way he hadn’t since the portals had appeared.
Oh.
This was big, then.
“I just remade your bed. Let’s go sit on it.”
Wild nodded and followed her. They sat on the bed, turned just enough that Zelda could see Wild’s hands as he signed. ‘There’s something I’ve been meaning to tell you,’ he started, eyes flitting everywhere but Zelda’s face. ‘But I don’t know how.’
