“This morning,” Ed answers honestly.
“When’s the last time you got good sleep?” Stede changes his question, and Ed hesitates. “Ah. Thought so.”
“I’m not tired,” Ed lies, this time. “And the baby’s going to be here soon, so we—”
“So,” Stede stops him, “We should be preparing for our baby. Right?”
“Right,” Ed agrees. “By making sure this place is ready.”
“No,” Stede disagrees.

And then, he’s waking up on the floor of his cell once again, Lucius’ face above him in the darkness he’s spent four days adjusting to.
“Oh, thank fuck,” Lucius breathes, sounding halfway to crying. Stede misses Lucius’ good humor; these four days have taken so much from them. “Sh— Fuck. He’s awake, Izzy, thank— fuck, he’s not dead.”
There’s a scrape, then, before Izzy takes Lucius’ place, just above Stede’s head.
“I fucking told you not to have the Captain’s baby in here,” is the first thing Izzy says, and Stede’s heart lurches into his bruised throat, blood running cold like ice through his veins.
“I’m not,” Stede argues, though it’s weak; he already knows the truth.

The ever-dysfunctional Z-team is then forced to work together to make sure that Waterboy stays alive until they can contact emergency services and get him proper help. This is easier said than done, though..In any other situation, the team would rather not get personal with Waterboy, but now they're required to take a small step into the personal life of this weird dork..
...oh, and also, they have to find a way to gently tell Waterboy's poor grandmother that her grandson might be dead without giving her a heart attack.

Lucifer wasn’t really accustomed to being physically trapped in one place. He was trapped in hell sure but that was quite large. Trapped in the castle— slightly smaller but he had the freedom to move and really he could leave at any time, he just didn’t want to. But this machine? This box? It was very spherical, could it be counted as a box? Whatever it was, Lucifer didn’t like it.
He really didn’t like how his arms were starting to become numb either.
