    Todoroki Touya was burned alive on Sekoto Peak, but it wasn't All For One that stumbled across his remains. Instead, the Hero Public Safety Commission recovered a body and reconstructed it, determined to make use of such a strong Quirk.

    Or: Years after the only person he could ever dream of loving stormed out of his life, severing their ties, Hawks must find a way to connect with the rest of hero society in a desperate bid to prepare for All Might's inevitable and impending requirement. He unintentionally ends up a little too close to Todoroki Fuyumi, and finds himself thrust into the midst of the ever mysterious Todoroki family. Unfortunately, this is because he happens to be "dating" Endeavor's only daughter.

    Or: The only thing Todoroki Natsuo had left of his brother was the memories of a tear-strained voice and panicked hands on his shoulders. He didn't want any other child to experience the abandonment, the abuse, the misery that stained Endeavor's home. If being a hero meant stopping others from doing what his father had done, it was worth it.

    Or: Todoroki Shoto didn't know much about Twitter, but that was definitely his dead brother on the Trending page. And he apparently hated Hawks.

    “I would love to go on a date with you, Izuku,” Shoto states clearly, ignoring the heads that turn towards him. As the current Number 2 hero, he has no desire to surpass Lemillion, so the date being something good for press has no meaning to him. He’s just taking the offer of a dream come true for him.

    “See! See I told you!!” Kaminari yells from the booth Jiro coaxed him to, who is now shushing him.

    “Now, is it really ethical to try and fool the public just for good press?” Iida chimes in. His eyes meet Shoto’s with a knowing stare - Shoto has called the Turbo Hero on more than one occasion when trying to sort out his feelings for Izuku. “Perhaps you two should think this over more, maybe when you haven’t been drinking?” Iida turns to Deku, who shakes his head.

    “N-No, if Todoroki says he wants to… I don’t see why not.” Emerald eyes finally meet his own, and Shoto is too distracted to stop the blush on his ears.

    Aizawa knows that's not the case, despite the red flags he has seen from the boy, he still could never be the traitor. However, the only way to convince some of the students may be through an interrogation anyways.

    In all fairness, Izuku really didn't think his life could get worse.

    And then he's on the run, trying his damndest to make the best out it. Pretty hard to do when there's no way out and he's starting from scratch with some of the best heroes, including his uncle, on his tail. The sudden discovery of a quirk definitely isn't helping, but it's not like he can do anything else but keep surviving and hope for the best.

    Right?

    (In which Izuku can't die, is forced into living, and makes it everyone's problem. His loved ones disagree with calling it a 'problem', but that's their business.)

    ((Featuring: Quirkless Society, Vigilante Izuku and shenanigans, Hitoshi getting a goddamn break, plans to overturn hero society, and a group of tired heroes just trying to help a bunch of very traumatized and very capable kids.))
