Summary
Regina finds herself in an endless loop of failures. Her body, her rank, and her mind. When an accident meant to end her brings the unit leader to her door, Regina has no idea the adventure that is about to take place. As she travels further from The Faction, she must finally face the fact that she has no idea who she is.
Emma was kidnapped by The Faction as a small child. Fate and luck would have her adopted by her kidnapper -- the head of the faction -- rising in rank and station, and completing her eight debts to society early. Emma may be successful in The Faction, but she is harboring a secret: she will never be one of them. As she makes for her great escape, she becomes entangled with the last person she ever thought she would be traveling with, Regina. As Emma searches for home, she can’t help but think that maybe Regina doesn't need to head off on her own.

Summary
As Regina watched Emma situate herself in the armchair across from her, leg propped up haphazardly on the edge as she brought the chaos of her being into Regina’s room full of order and precision, the older woman found herself contemplating how much easier this all would’ve been if she had just approached Emma in a different way.

Summary
“I’m here because... I think my kid is having some kind of delusional breakdown because he can’t cope with the fact that ... Mayor Mills and I split up.”
Dr. Hopper pushes his glasses up his nose in a measured movement. “What makes you think that?”
“Well, among other things, he thinks his mother is about to cut Mary Margaret Blanchard’s heart out of her chest, before pulverizing it and sending her into a coma that only her true love can rescue her from.”
[AU; here, 'fairy tale land' is merely a product of Henry's imagination during a difficult time.]

“I have been sleeping with someone,” Regina began tentatively, an acute awareness that once she said the words out loud that the madness behind her highly unorthodox situation became all the more real, “whom I absolutely loathe.”

Summary
If she squints enough, displacing the sheen of wetness in front of her eyes that she rejects so very thoroughly, she can almost see the outlines of the photographs that lined the wall. Poof. A family won, a family lost.

Summary
The Hatter hadn’t been able to cope with two co-existing realities, and she’d thought him weak. This third may be the thing to finally break her mind in half; like an egg cracking on the side of a prep bowl, with everything sacred to her just dribbling out all over the place.

Summary
Emma has hidden her face behind a curtain of unruly hair for now, but manages to tip it back on command--and Regina looks down at Emma’s chest and the heart she knows is beating there; wonders absently if any of her problems would be solved if she just plucked it out and kept it in her jewelry box upstairs--and looks at her with the kind of anguish that really and truly doesn’t befit a storybook savior.
“The curse. It didn't break right, so how do I fix it?”
