He tried to think of how his soulmate's body might look, this very moment. Perhaps they do not have an empty spot on their body, from all those lies Aventurine made up.
Maybe he was the reason no one would hire them — someone ‘made’ for a liar. Maybe they decided they wanted nothing to do with him, swore to kill him if he dared to show his face to them. Despised him with their very being, wished to strangle him with their two hands.
If he still had a soulmate alive somewhere, they would have lied at least once until now. He would have received a sign. The possibility they were alive, or even existed, seemed too low to consider.
At least, one less person to burden.

Ratio and Aventurine have gotten closer, and closer, and closer, until something has to give. That something was always going to be Aventurine.
(Ratio would argue that he gave in much earlier, it simply wasn't as dramatic.)

Summary
Power had suggested “What about whoring yourself online?”, which at the time had sounded like a joke. Despite the absurdity of it all, Denji found himself creating a profile at a shady porn site that would supposedly allow him to broadcast a live feed for money, Power’s words having the absolute worst influence on him as usual.
It was worth a try, right? Otherwise he’d just have to give Makima’s thugs one of his testicles or something, he had two and wasn’t using them for anything worthwhile anyway. He chewed at the skin of his fingers by his nails as he thought, the facemask’s strings stretching as he fit his hand underneath it to do so. Until he heard the chime.

In a universe in which devils don't exist, Denji finds himself borrowing money from the mafia for medical reasons. As a result, his job at the café doesn't cover it anymore and he decides to give live cams a shot despite his inexperience.
Yoshida works as a tattoo artist while trying to put his dark past behind. Kishibe bugs him about his life being stuck in a routine, his solution? a link to a questionable porn site, which he hands to Yoshida on a crumpled piece of paper.
