This is a Highschool Reylo AU fanfiction based on the art of the amazingly talented @vivsketchess on Instagram and Twitter.
I wrote this as a form of escapism and as a coping mechanism in dealing with the death of Ben Solo in Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker. This is a way to keep him alive and perpetuate the beautiful romance between Rey Skywalker and Ben Solo.
There will be some familiar characters as well as new characters inspired by OC's of multiple cosplayers on Instagram and TikTok.This is for all the Reylo's. And especially for Amy, Zoe, Aidan, Rob and Kelsey.

She stared out at the empty expanse of yellow, dying grass, to a thick and dark forest that gave way only to grey sky in her field of vision.
“I must say,” he said in a low, quiet voice- hungry and mocking all at once. “I had never anticipated the thought of a virgin widow to be so… Endearing. It is quite novel, isn’t it?”
Rey gripped his arms and held her tongue. Her eyes squeezed shut as she tried to keep her composure. She should have run. She should have swallowed her pride and ran.
The final beacon of defiance from Alderaan would be made into the final conquest thereof, and Lady Rey Dameron was helpless to change that cruel hand of fate.

Kylo finds Rey in some wreckage on an abandoned moon. When he finds her, she is unconscious, but when she wakes up, she has amnesia and doesn't remember Kylo at all! Kylo is perplexed about this and brings her back to the Finalizer with him to be examined by the First Order doctors. The doctors confirm that Rey has amnesia. Rey lives with Kylo for weeks on board the Finalizer without remembering who he is or that they were enemies. Before her memory returns, she falls in love with Kylo, still not knowing who he is. However, life becomes interesting once her memory returns! When her memory returns, will she stay with Kylo or go back to the Resistance?

Rey inherits a home in upstate New York after her distant Aunt Maz passes. She settles into the small town, opening a bookstore and cafe on the quant Main Street. Her neighbor, a farmer named Plutt, doesn't hesitate to aim his rifle at any animal that crosses his land, and one winter night, Rey finds an injured wolf-dog behind her home.
With the help of her friend and veterinarian, Rose, they nurse the wolf-dog back to health, and Rey tries to find out where the beautiful animal came from. She doesn't expect to grow close to the dog, closer than what is appropriate or legal.
She also doesn't expect KYLØ to shift into a tall man with dark hair and eyes that pierce her soul.
