The Tau Ceti system was a long, long way away now, and Grace had faced not one but two highly emotional suicide missions. Three, if you counted the time before he was given a military grade roofie and hucked into space without his memories.
Rocky and Grace make it back to Erid! Huzzah!

But no mecha Prowl knew of could punch a Quintesson in the face, snag their servo in its jaws, rip off their own servo to escape, kill that same Quintesson with extreme prejudice, and then scoop their missing piece from its mouth; not without expressing any form of pain at all.

“As you are? No. It's late. I suggest you head out without trying it in here. I’d hate to ban a good customer.” Springer turned around. His audial, however, was still focused on the two of them.
“Primus, you’re desperate,” Megatron hissed.

Brainstorm was silent, field indicating nothing. Perceptor calculated whether it would be more logical or illogical to wait, and concluded the latter. Brainstorm made rapid decisions, and had not formerly needed encouragement to voice them, but that had been millions of stellar cycles ago. “I would appreciate promptness in your rejection.”
“Who said anything about rejecting?” Brainstorm tipped his head to the side. “I’m just trying to make sure I’ve got this straight in my processor. You performed ethically dubious, untested, methodologically uncertain engineering on yourself. Because you missed me.”
Perceptor deleted all of his emotions for a reason. After the Quintesson threat leads Optimus Prime to push through the Autobot-Decepticon Alliance, that reason no longer applies. Fixing the situation is going to take some trial and error...and a self-proclaimed genius.

Soundwave wasn’t ashamed to admit it. He had fallen in love with Shockwave before he had met him, before he knew his face or name.
Young, overwhelmed by his own power, Soundwave drowned. Foreign thoughts roared and shook him senseless. And Soundwave was a speck at the mercy of the waves. He struggled for a while pathetically until even that meager resistance was snuffed out, his mind swallowed by the torrent.
Slumped in an alley, legs covered in the energon he expelled upon them, optics dimly shining, Soundwave was just another piece of trash for people to step over. That was the fate Primus had given him.
Oh, but in this tumbling chaos, Soundwave found god.

No one warns him that there is a reason everyone avoids the Mithril Sea during the Acid Rain Season.
Mermechs are very territorial when returning to ancestral breeding grounds and Prowl is about to encounter a particularly charming example.
