The two develop a friendship that passes the boundaries or what most would deem normal - or healthy. Does it end well for either of them? What milestones does Paul hit before his already fragile mental health begin to splinter…

I finally got around to watching Girl, Interrupted after having this in my bookmarks forever. And let me say, I love this. The characters match up well, and despite following the same plot, it’s fresh.
I headcannon that they all get together at the end and start their band

Realistic feelings for a victim.
Beautifully written.
Hot.
“As the weeks went by, it was becoming difficult to button his trousers. The first time Paul couldn’t, he’d blacked out again. He was screaming as two of his friends held him down, trying to keep Paul from harming himself and others. He shook in their hold when he came to his senses.” Woah, that hit different.

Like a show dog, he thinks as Paul stumbles on the snow again, scowling and waiting to be collected up by one of the crew, wrapped up in his black furs and snow boots. It’s greedy, really. Someone should put him in his place, train him to behave better.
