In fact, his predecessors have given him a gift: he would be able to use One For All fully again. Meaning, he could continue being a hero.
Izuku thinks it's nothing short of a miracle.
Katsuki knows it's everything Izuku deserves.
He just didn't think that Izuku's powers, the ones that he should be able to fully control by now, could go haywire whenever Katsuki's around.

Summary
After the Kamino Ward battle, the world is reeling from the loss of the Symbol of Peace. All Might’s final stand against All For One left society shaken and the future uncertain, but no one felt the weight of that night more heavily than Katsuki Bakugo. Convinced that his capture (and the chain of events that followed) had cost All Might his power, Bakugo’s guilt is unbearable. He walks away from heroism entirely, disappearing from U.A. and cutting himself off from everyone who once knew him.
Everyone except one person who refuses to let him disappear.
Izuku Midoriya, carrying his own grief about the incident and his own powerlessness, sets out to bring Bakugo back to UA. Despite their turbulent past—despite everything—Deku cannot accept a future where Bakugo is not a hero, where they aren’t pushing each other to be their best. What begins as a desperate search becomes something more intimate as he confronts Bakugo’s pain, offering the kind of unwavering belief and care that Bakugo never expected, and perhaps never thought he deserved.
