One may think that even though May is gone, at least I still have Mr. Stark, right? After the whole fiasco during the homecoming dance last year, he’d been inviting me over to his personal lab in his penthouse where we would work on making upgrades to my suit, as well as other projects. So the notion that at least I’d still have Mr. Stark gave me hope after May’s death.
Except, after May died, Mr. Stark stopped speaking to me. It was out of the blue. No texts, no invitations over to his lab, nothing. All I got were some texts from Happy asking me how patrolling was going. I’ve texted the billionaire a few times despite his lack of contact, asking him if we could talk—I don’t think it’d be a good idea to tell him that May’s dead over text—and I haven’t gotten a response to any of them.

May dies in a fire and Peter gets placed into foster care, and simultaneously, Mr. Stark suddenly stops contacting Peter and it takes a toll on the teen. Will Mr. Stark come to his senses? (Rated Teen for themes of suicide—no actual deaths occur. ***CHECK TAGS FOR WARNINGS***)
