‘I’m just saying, if someone was worried about being killed off by Kira, getting a name change might just work.' Matt said. 'There’s no rule that states what counts as someone’s real name, so for all we know I could be right.’
Mello’s eyes narrowed, annoyed by the fact that Matt technically had a point, even if it sounded ridiculous.
‘Why do I get the feeling you mentioned this because you have ulterior motives, and not just out of morbid curiosity?’
‘Well, there’s one relatively quick and easy way to change your name.’
Mello did not like where this was going.
‘I had hoped to do this in a more romantic manner some years into the future, but desperate times call for desperate measures.’ Matt said, leaning forward so he could press another kiss against Mello’s lips, a mischievous glint in his eyes as he did.
‘What are you—’
‘Let’s get married.’
Mello stared at Matt as if he’d lost his mind.
In fact, he probably had.
‘I’d hoped for a little more enthusiasm, Mells.’
‘Are you insane?’
