Summary
Beyond Birthday survived his battle with L in Los Angeles, but he was badly burned. He was sent to prison and left to rot. But somehow, he learned to survive, and eventually escaped. After skin grafts and body modification, he went after Kira for murdering L. But his revenge was put on hold when he had to team up with Light Yagami against an even greater foe--one from his past, a fellow orphan from Wammy House, "A". Beyond Birthday thought he killed "A", but he returned to wreck havoc and target both Beyond Birthday and Light Yagami.
Now, after his encounter with "A", Beyond Birthday retires to California. But after a series of nightmares that involves a godly-being imprisoned by the religious cultist known as The Evangelist, he seeks the assistance of Light Yagami's sworn enemy--once his closest friend--Demetre Draycott, to retrieve an celestial book of such immense power, it has the power to bring down Kira once and for all!
