I wrote this short story all the way back in 2013, and I figured I should share it since it's just sitting here on an old flash drive. I believe that the assignment was to describe a place or something, it's been a while so I'm not to sure on the details. This is a glimpse of one man's memory, that's about as much as I can sum it up with out just out right telling the story here.

Summary
Playing as a character and making your choices from behind a screen is completely different from being a part of a world where the knowledge you have and the choices you make can determine an entire world's future.

So when life hands you lemons, you make a sandcastle out of poop... a poopcastle. And you sculpt a big one, with turrets and drawbridges, the whole nineteen thousand yards, until you can't even see the sky anymore. Because Life, Fate, the Maker, or whatever I should call the motivating factor behind this trainwreck of my story is a sadistic SOB. If I ever get the opportunity to meet whomever is pulling the twisted strings, I will absolutely shove a handful of my special castle-sand right in their face.

Summary
