Scott’s decision was purely logical. Of course it was. He was very tired after his who-knows-how long nap, and he deserved a break! So, naturally, it was logical and safe to become a bat. It was also logical to stay that way. Though, maybe staying as a bat forever might be bit much. Oh well, Scott was no quitter!

Owen felt the click in his chest that registered the new fledglings’ existence, knew the rest of the vampires felt it too, and scrambled for understanding. Something to do. His mind raced, confusion and disgust and anger warring as he realized he’d given the gift of vampirism to a stranger.
His claws dug into the fledglings’ shoulders as his mind spun.
Who was this? How did they manage to get past whatever was trapping everyone in Oakhurst? Why were they so badly burnt, who had done that to them? How could he have been so stupid as to let his memories get the better of him? What was he meant to do now? How was he supposed to explain this to the other vampires?

Or, in which c!Tubbo is killed via fireworks on a stage in front of the world. He gets burned in the process, and when he winds up transported to Oakhurst the smell of burnt flesh reminds Owen far too much of Louis.

Summary
Ugh. Humans are so rude.
Scott already despises most of the people in Oakhurst and he’s only been here for two days. Two! It wouldn’t be so bad if he wasn’t accused of being a vampire and murdering Shelby in the woods. The townsfolk had been quite nice up until that point, but noooo, even if he successfully managed to convince everyone he didn’t kill Shelby—seeing as she showed up alive and well!—doubt had been cast on him.
And now no one trusts him. Great.
It’s not like Scott truly cares, Shelby’s nice enough, but does he really worry for any of these people? Absolutely not. He’s here to follow strangers into the woods and hope they bite him, not the other way around!

There was red in his eyes, a deeper shade of crimson replaced the calm amber of his pupils.
"A-Abolish?"
The Count stuttered, taken aback by the sight of his butler and the red surrounding him.
"You shouldn't be out here alone." Abolish said, his voice was flat. He hopped down from the structure.
or An AU where Abolish is Scott's butler but Abolish is the vampire that's hundreds of years old and Scott is a runaway count who brought his trusty butler with him!
