Ryland hid, pressed up against the unforgiving cold metal of a heating unit. He could hear the sounds of people rushing past him, speaking in a mix if Russian and English, but he could tell it was all the same;
"Find him. Don't let him get away."
Stratt wanted to kill him. She was going to murder him. Send him off to space to die twelve light years away from anyone and anything he cared about.
When the noise dispersed, he pulled out his phone with shaking hands. He dialed an all too familiar number. Colt's number. His brother. His twin brother who was only a few minutes older but always insisted on calling himself his older brother because he felt it made it more necessary to protect Ryland. Colt would help him.

When Tango had gotten an email on his computer at 10am Tuesday morning from the CEO himself, he couldn’t lie and say he wasn’t at least a little nervous.
It was a meeting request for 11 in Skizz’s office, and as Tango made his way up, he couldn’t help but let his imagination run wild a little. It was—after all—the first time Tango had been invited to see him at work since he and Zed had begun sleeping with Skizz and Impulse a few weeks before.
Not that Skizz had often invited him up to his office often before, he’d always done his best to keep a professional distance between them at work, with the exception of a few lunches. He’d usually save hang out time to after Tango was off the clock.

Summary
On their way back to Erid, Rocky and Grace discover a mysterious box. Upon opening it, the two discover some strange changes. Well, perhaps way more than strange.
Rocky finds a new marking on his arm similar to Grace's scar, and Grace finds markings similar to Rocky's on his arms and legs.
Rocky begins to dream and can easily wake from sleep, and Ryland can stay up for much longer than a normal human should.
Grace starts seeing sound when it's too dark to properly see, and Rocky starts seeing pops of colour in his sound vision.
Neither can understand what's happening to them and how they're seemingly linked together, but they know there's nothing in the world that could tear them apart.
(TLDR: This fic will include almost everyone's favourite things! Grace can survive in Rocky's atmosphere! Grace will live as long as Rocky! Grace will get to go back to Earth with Rocky (for a bit and then go back to Erid)! Grace will get to confront and get closure with Stratt! Fanart included!)

The Eridian thrills a high sound that doesn’t get picked up by the translator which means that it has no clear meaning. Like when a human gasps or sucks in a deep breath. It actually sounds a little like that. When they notice that I’m staring straight at them they scramble back into their hiding spot and hold very still.
A child, I realize with a start.
That’s a child!
“Hey,” I call and the kid squeaks again. I was about to get to my feet but abort the movement and crawl closer on my hands and knees until I'm inches away from the xenonite wall. I wait and it takes me much too long to realize that they don’t have to peek around the corner to see if I’m still there.
“Hey there,” I try again, my voice low and calm. It’s my teacher voice, the one I use for shy and scared students.

The fact that I haven’t had to use it for years and it still comes to me automatically almost knocks the air out of my lungs but this is not about me, it’s about making sure the little pebble doesn’t die of fright from the scary alien. “Hi, I’m Grace. It’s alright, you don’t have to be scared.”
