Lestat is cursed by a vengeful witch, forced to undergo pregnancy and all its complications against his will. When the curse finally runs its course, he chooses to try again with Louis. The complications that arise the second time around are external, ancient, and even more impossible to fight back against.

Summary
When rock n' roll’s new star child, The Vampire Lestat, breaks down on stage, renowned tour manager Louis de Pointe du Lac steps in to save his endangered career.
On tour with his insufferably bratty, exhausting and potentially murderous new protégé, Louis soon begins to unwillingly spiral into a sick obsession, not only falling prey to more than one vampire, but the spiteful demons of his very own past.
In short: an angsty Rockstar Lestat x Human Louis slow burn with a developing brat x brat tamer dynamic, lots of yearning, trauma, repression and occasional comic relief.

Unlike Louis, though, Lestat seemed to take great joy in the cat-and-mouse of killing. He would toy with his victims before ever drawing blood, sometimes seducing them, sometimes stalking them through the streets just to savour the fear on their face, always with the same sadistic gleam. It seemed to be a routine of his, the specific chase always different but the methodology identical when death came. A stab, a kiss, a lick of any available blood, and always a cooed ‘mon amour’.
Louis wondered if he was the only living person to hear that endearment from Lestat, but he supposed he wasn’t really living anyway.

Louis De Pointe Du Lac is the lone fledgling vampire in America. Lestat de Lioncourt is the entrancing serial killer Louis stumbles across one night, and can’t leave alone after.

Summary
It's stupid, this thing between them. They're too old to behave this way, like teenagers sneaking around, loving each other but never saying the words, and pretending that their hearts don't beat in tandem the moment they find themselves in the same city. It's stupid, denying the one thing both of them want from each other, but their stubborn bullshit selves won't admit it.
Or, Lestat and Louis, during TVL tour, making their way back together, only to drift apart, and then rinse and repeat.
