Summary
Seven months. It's been seven months since Splinter made Leonardo the new leader. It's been seven months of progressively worse arguing and now it's constant. Michelangelo's effectively moved in with Baron Draxum three weeks ago at Donnie's insistence and Splinter is always somewhere the conflict isn’t.
Donatello spends most of his time in his lab, leaving at night for some fresh air and to deal with old enemies. Someone has to, after all, and with two specific turtles refusing to leave the lair, it might as well be him.
However, one specific enemy might be growing into something more than he can handle on his own.
It’s on one of his escapes from the lair, however, that starts a whole strange chain of events. A chain of events where he finds himself very much unwillingly and begrudgingly not on his own, anymore. All thanks to a tripped motion sensor and Hypno-Potamus and Warren Stone.
Donatello's never helping anyone out of the sewer again.

A certain blue-clad turtle has an inkling feeling to check up on their resident genius. A challenge for the three brothers arises as they have to put broken pieces of a whole together, both metaphorically and literally.

Leo let go. Donnie rushed to return back to his side of the cell — the cell? Oh, shit. Yeah, this was a cell. Typical prisoner treatment. Stone floors, stone walls. Dim lighting. Steel doors barring them from escaping. There was a set of chains fixed to Leo's wall, but they were suspiciously Leo-less. Really, the only unusual thing was the part where Donnie's skin kept melting off-and-on each time Leo blinked.
"Am — Am I high?"
Donnie sucked in a deep, greedy breath, as far back to the wall as he could go. "You're not not high."
"Shit."
or, after the last time the Shredder messed with his mind, Leo is much more susceptible to temporary breaks from reality. When he and his brothers are captured by the Foot and Leo is dosed with an unknown substance, half the battle in escaping is dealing with the hallucinations that follow him.
