Queen Ramonda, barely surviving the attack, gradually returned to governing as she continued physical therapy. M'Baku has occupied a permanent council seat as her trusted aide. Things have seemingly returned to near normalcy, except for one thing. Talokan promised to send envoys of peace, which were nowhere to be seen. Without any signed treaty of alliance, chances that Talokan would start another attack remained open. Underneath a mask of joy, Wakanda was trapped in anxiety. Meanwhile Princess Shuri, suffocated by her new role as Wakanda's Protector, escaped to enjoy Chicago with Riri Williams.
