“Woah!” Jisung said just as Minho was about to press their lips together. He pushed Minho back a little bit as he felt his heart rate accelerating. “I’m straight! I don’t! I’m not! No!”
“Oh shit, I’m sorry.” Minho laughed, putting a little space between them and taking his hand from Jisung to rub the back of his hair as he smiled bashfully.
“I don’t… Why did you think I was gay?” Jisung asked, his eyes wide and brow furrowed as he started to worry.
“I didn’t look at you and think ‘he looks gay, I’m gonna kiss him’ I looked at you and thought ‘he looks pretty, I’m gonna try and kiss him’.”
“Oh…” Jisung breathed.-
Jisung struggled to fit in, to feel normal and to flow with the rest of the world. He knew he liked women, of course he did. So why when he met Minho did everything become so much better and worse all at once?

Or; Jisung is in denial about his sexuality, and Minho makes it hard to keep denying. So hard that it triggers a breakdown and poor decisions.

Summary
“That– That was Minho,” Jisung croaks, speaking in English, still in a state of shock. He’s vaguely aware of how little he’s helping to clear up the confusion, but Felix seems to understand anyway, the realization dawning on him.
“Wait– like, the Minho? Childhood best friend Minho?” Felix questions, talking in English too.
Jisung nods slowly, taking his bottom lip between his teeth, chewing it – yet another nervous habit he can never seem to break.
He doesn’t know why he didn’t consider this – running into Minho again. Afterall, he did move back to Seoul, the exact place he had fled from.
“I still don’t know what you two had a falling out over,” Felix points out, his tone gentle.
Jisung shakes his head. “I– I still don’t want to talk about it. Just know… I fucked it up.”

After running away from Seoul years ago, Jisung finds himself moving back with no choice but to face Minho and what he's done, learning new things about himself along the way.

Summary
“Look, we don't have to if you don't want to. I remember what you said the last time we saw each other. I can walk myself back home right now, just say the word,” Jisung says, worrying his lower lip between his teeth. A nervous tick, Minho notes.
He considers it for a moment – sending Jisung home – but then he would have gained nothing from all of this. But he also doesn't want to lead the guy on.
“You should know I wear hearing aids,” Minho blurts, an attempt to sabotage. This is the part where Jisung will realize Minho isn't worth it. He’ll walk away, Minho is sure of it.
"I know. Chan-hyung told me,” Jisung says, “I don't care about that– or well, I do, but– you make it sound like it’s a dealbreaker–”
“Because it is.”
“It's not.”
Jisung's words kill Minho’s argument, leaving Minho staring at him in shock, his mouth hanging open.

After years of accepting that he’ll never be enough for a relationship, Minho feels relieved when he doesn't receive a soulmate mark. That is, until he meets Jisung — another person without a mark, who makes him question everything he thought he wanted.

Summary
The day it all ended Jisung hadn't seen it coming.
In hindsight he probably should have. He should have known that the fighting and the silences and all the unsaid things in between would build up and cause it all to come crashing down sooner or later.
I can’t do it anymore Jisung. Not like this. I can’t take it.
