“So you saw the bunnies then?” Harry clarifies, a smirk tugging at his lips.
“Yeah, those were a bit of a surprise,” Liam huffs. “I mean, they definitely weren’t part of what we commissioned from him, but they’re kind of cute, right?”
Harry sputters a laugh.
“What?” Liam asks, the furrow in his brow deepening. “They are cute little bunnies!”
“Cute little bunnies that are fucking,” Harry snickers.
“What?” Liam gasps.
“Liam,” Harry says, trying to school his face into a serious expression. “Those bunnies are fucking.”A slow Monday night behind the bar turns into something else entirely thanks to a new mural and a new customer.

Summary
In a different universe, a parallel dimension in which Harry is a braver version of himself, maybe he’d cup the back of Louis’ neck softly and melt their mouths together.
Maybe they’d tread on light feet up to Louis’ room because the house would be empty and they’d just kiss-and-kiss-and-kiss until their lungs burst, and then Harry would press his face into Louis’ neck and whisper I know you’re Blue, and Louis would do the same in turn, breathe that sentiment into Harry’s skin like a relief, and all the bad weight would lift, just the hot pressure of feeling so much remaining.

And it was...except it also meant that Louis’ long time, barely there crush on Harry had only grown into a full fledged, real life version of playing house where Louis all too often found himself pretending he and Harry really were together when they definitely were not.
Or the one where Harry might have told his friends that he was dating someone and has to show proof for their party on New Year's Eve. His best friend and roommate Louis is the obvious choice...but things don't exactly go as planned.
