“I can vouch for him,” Cyborg said, sitting up straighter. “We’ve worked together before. I can’t promise he’d want the job though. He works out of Bludhaven, last I checked.”
Dinah perked up from where she was slumped against the table next to Oliver. “That’s next to Gotham. Batman, what do you know?”
All eyes immediately turned to where Batman sat with his arms crossed, looking impassive as always. There was a long moment of silence and the corners of Batman’s mouth turned ever so slightly downward. Finally, in a flat tone of voice that gave no more away than his face ever did, he said, “He’s… well trained. Fast. Could be useful.”

Also known as, the League eventually figured out that Nightwing is Batman's son, but it takes a while.

"We're going to an art auction?" he looked back up at Ed who was grinning with pride.
"Yes! I thought since I, well, ruined the majority of your artwork while you were away that we should shop for some new ones!"
Stede's heart swelled, but his smile felt more like a grimace. "Oh, darling, that's so thoughtful! But does it have to be in Charlestown? Surely there is art for sale in places where you are not so desperately in danger?"
"It's a masquerade, Stede! It's perfect!"
"That's true…"
"Did you see the list of featured artists?" Ed tapped the parchment eagerly.
Stede had not read that far, so he looked at the flyer again. The list contained many names, some that were familiar, more that weren't, but then at the bottom: The Widow Bonnet. "Mary?" he nearly whispered in surprise.
Or, Ed plans a surprise date for Stede - to go to an art auction to buy more of Mary's art to decorate the Revenge. Only Ed doesn't know that Mary herself will be there. Plus some of the crew are coming along so who know what kind of trouble they'll end up in.

Summary
Stede Bonnet had every intention of meeting Edward Teach, just perhaps not quite like this. And Ed, he had really believed the man he'd only known as the Gentleman Pirate really had taken one look at him and decided he wasn't worth his time. It takes some time for the pair to realize who each other are, but once they do, there's nothing either of them want more than to find a way to reunite Stede's... whatever it is back with his body.
Well, Ed can think of one thing he'd want in addition to that: for Stede to remember who he is when they succeed.

Summary
Every human is born holding an Egg and If you're lucky your Egg will hatch.
Stede Bonnet and Edward Teach both come from entirely different backgrounds but each long for an Ornis Bird, a creature containing their counterparts heart and soul. Supposedly the bird will guide you to your other half but getting to that point can take a lot of work and nothing is ever guaranteed.
