    “None of the above!” Caine said, brightly. “Your behavior has been far too repugnant to administer regulated discipline.”

    “Oh is that right?” Jax said, resting his chin in his palm. “And what are you gonna do about it? Spank me?”

    “Correct!”

    A beat. A clock ticked loudly above. Jax sat there, smile frozen in place.
     
    “...What?”
