Robert wasn't the type to wear his heart on his sleeve. He was more of the lock your heart away in a steel box and dump it in the ocean type of guy. Which is exactly why he's so upset that his tail won't stop wagging Everytime Flambae talks to him.

She didn't get a chance to finish. With a precision that should've been impossible for a temporarily blinded man, he pulled his arm back and punched her in the throat.

The figure… It's Robert. It has to be.
Waterboy tries to step back, but he stumbles on the wet floor, thudding into the shipping container beside him. Robert goes still.
His head jerks up, eyes rolling wildly to make contact. Bloodshot. He's crouched on the floor of the warehouse like an animal, low and cornered. Blood is splattered over his face, and as he lifts his head, Waterboy can tell it's streaked down his chin like he must have sunk his teeth into something and held on. When he bares his teeth, they've been licked clean.
He shakily, slowly, like the movement’s might provoke an attack, fumbles for his radio. “Guys? Uh- found- I. I Robert found- no, that's not. I found- uhm.”
(Warning changed to Mature because of the violence. Just to be safe, honestly.)

Meng Zhi was one of the people xiao-Shu had agreed to ask, and it felt like an honor. Of course he agreed. He didn’t fully understand the details, but xiao-Shu was Meng Zhi’s friend, and that was enough.
In hindsight, Meng Zhi thinks, he probably should have paid more attention to the details. But then again, it probably wouldn't have changed things. He would still have agreed to donate his blood to xiao-Shu, he would still have fallen hopelessly in love with him, and he would still be certain it was only a matter of time until Xiao Jingyan found out...everything.
