One dismal, rainy summer, he stopped calling out when he took his shoes off at the genkan — it had taken him a few days to wrap his mind around the fact that nobody was there to answer, no gruff cough or noncommittal hum to show he wasn't alone. Putting on the kettle for one made him realize that what he wanted was something far less attainable than stones for skipping on the beach or wildflowers creeping between sidewalk cracks. Summary
For years, Yuuji has never dared to pursue Megumi romantically for many reasons: his pending execution, the genocidal curse living rent-free inside his head, and the simple (but inescapable) fact that Megumi’s adoptive guardian is, well, the strongest sorcerer in all of history. But now that Sukuna has been defeated and life has returned back to normal, there's nothing stopping Yuuji from taking the next step. At long last, he’s finally going to ask for Gojo's blessings to formally court his son.
But, little does Yuuji know, it's not Gojo who poses as the biggest threat to their blossoming relationship.
