    Wei Wuxian has a hobby he shares with few others: he loves stealing back looted cultural heritage from wealthy collectors.

    And he has gotten quite good at it; nobody suspects he is anything but a lover of art.

    Up until recently, he had thought the Lan family's collection was a morally curated exhibition of their own heirlooms - but when he learns they have gotten their hands on a likely illicit item, he doesn't hesitate to act.

    But maybe someone is waiting for him.

    It’s been one year and some change since Tony planned to introduce Spider-Man to the world, and instead put a ring on the finger of the capable, qualified, trustworthy Pepper Potts. One year and some change later, and the invitations have finally gone out.

    Meanwhile, Peter’s never been more excited for something in his entire young life — and he and Ned once got to spend the day at NASA. Nope, Mr. Stark’s wedding easily topped that. Heck, he may be more excited for the wedding than anyone else, including the bride herself. After the crazy year they all had, it felt good to finally have something good happen.

    Nothing was going to mess this up, Peter would make sure of it. He just had to handle the rings.

    Wait, the rings. Crap, the rings! Where’d he put the rings? All he had to do was find the rings, and then everything would go off without a hitch. Absolutely nothing could go wrong with him trying to find the rings, right? This wedding was going to be perfect.

    (Or: Tony swears the universe is trying to keep him and Pepper from tying the knot while Peter’s having a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. Seriously, who let Norman Osborn into the church?)

    Wei Wuxian has been feeling like someone was watching him for weeks.

    A hot new neighbor moves in to one of the vacant units in the falling-down apartment block he lives in while laying low and waiting for the trial against Wen Ruohan and Jin Guangshan to move forward.

    These two events are not unrelated.

    Or

    Lan Wangji does a favor for an old school friend in tracking down his wife’s missing foster brother and keeping a watch out for anyone trying to harm him. He quickly decides that a closer view would be beneficial.

    “Yes you did.” Wen Qing steps up beside Lan Wangji. “What did you do to yourself this time?”

    Instantly Wei Wuxian’s eyes snap open. “Wen Qing!?”

    “Yes.” She crosses her arms. “Did you hit your head or something?”

    “Wen Qing?” Wei Wuxian’s eyes go wide shock then, to Lan Wangji’s utter surprise, begin to fill with tears. “Lan Zhan what’s happening? How…” His voice trails away as his eyes shift, taking in the cave, Wen Qionglin, A-Yuan, and Lan Wangji himself before returning to Wen Qing.

    “Oh…”
