It also entails kidnapping a human child, and I'm not entirely certain of the morality of that. I'm taking the ComfortUnit at its word about its situation.

When they first proper met, Three tried to show concern in its own customary way—unfortunately, Murderbot didn’t quite appreciate the gesture.
Book 5: Network Effect, Chapter 20, shortly after MB 1.0 was repaired. The initial interaction between two SecUnits from different companies, each accustomed to vastly different operational protocols: MB is highly guarded, while Three awkwardly attempts kindness. Needless to say, it’s a beginning filled with misunderstandings.
