Beauty in how the only sound to be heard was the gentle hum of the light above them, and Belos’ own deep, steady heartbeat.
Carefully, Belos removed his own mask. Still cupping Hunter’s chin, he pressed a kiss to his cool cheek. His fingers twitched, his heart quivered.
There will be time to grieve Hunter later. For now, Belos needed to take advantage of this final moment with his nephew. After all, he’s been waiting on this exact moment for a very, very long time.
