Summary
When the chance of a lifetime is offered to Zoey, everyone's excited to see her spread her wings, her mentor Celine included. As the two celebrate and share personal anecdotes, Zoey realizes that Celine seems… lonely. Celine insists she doesn't mind, but something about Zoey's continued kindness begins to leave her flustered— after all, it's the first time she's felt 'seen' in nearly thirty years. But Zoey's her hubae, and under no circumstances can she allow these thoughts to take hold in her mind.
A story about being not enough. About being too much. About the fear that maybe, deep down, you don't actually deserve to be seen in the way that you ache for.

Summary
Her blood was pumping loudly in her ears, and no matter how hard she tried, Rumi couldn’t get the feeling of Celine pressed against her out of her head. She had fitted against her so perfectly. Pressed against her just right…
The way her hands felt on Rumi’s body, the way her scent had filled the air, the way she’d felt atop of her, pinning Rumi down, would live on in her memory until she died. Then there was that flushed face and ragged breathing as she lay out on the ground beneath Rumi—

Please read the tags! Pure smut with a sprinkling of fluff and plot.
Chapter one was supposed to be a smutty Rumi/Celine one shot kink fest, but I've somehow crept into canon and introduced plot from Chapter two.

Summary
Even though Hunter was disfigured and broken beyond all reasonable repair, he still looked breathtaking; after all, there was a certain beauty within death.
Beauty in the way the light reflected off his glassy wine-red eye. Beauty in the clammy greyness of his skin, untouched by the flames. Beauty in the bruises and angry rashes smudged across his body over top of broken bones. Beauty in how completely and utterly still he laid sprawled out over the cold stainless steel examiner’s table. Beauty in how the only sound to be heard was the gentle hum of the light above them, and Belos’ own deep, steady heartbeat.
Carefully, Belos removed his own mask. Still cupping Hunter’s chin, he pressed a kiss to his cool cheek. His fingers twitched, his heart quivered.
There will be time to grieve Hunter later. For now, Belos needed to take advantage of this final moment with his nephew. After all, he’s been waiting on this exact moment for a very, very long time.

Summary
From the loosely packed, humid earth clawed ghostly hands, one after the other. Frantically they cleared the soil, making way for the matted, blond head that followed. Deathly skinny shoulders came next, the discs and vertebrae visible through practically translucent skin.
The creature—the first Grimwalker born by Philip’s hand—was the size of a ten-year-old child. It moved without hindrance and with precise coordination as it freed itself from its grave. Aside from how skinny it was, so far it seemed to be an excellent first attempt.
Pride swelled in a dark corner of Philip’s heart, muted against all the other emotions flooding him. He had succeeded in an ugly and impossible task; he had raised life from death. There was little now that stood between him and God.
That thought made him smile slightly.
Philip then welcomed his Grimwalker to the world with the heavy swing of a shovel delivered to the back of its head.
(Philip has questions about his new Grimwalker that he intends to answer.)

Summary
Without looking up from where he lounged in his bed, Belos stated, “It’s late. Did you have a bad dream?”
“No,” Hunter replied after a beat. He stepped into the room, allowing the red glow to soak him thoroughly. Each wall was lined by candles that flickered with a magic red flame.
“You’re far too old to come bother me after you’ve had a nightmare. I won’t coddle you forever, you know.”
“It wasn’t a bad dream,” Hunter insisted. He leaned back against the closed door. The wood was cool under his sweating palms. “It was more like... A really good one.”
That caught Belos’ attention. His eyes slid away from the pages to look at Hunter—not so quickly as to betray his cool nature, but with undeniable intrigue. Through the red lighting, his blue eyes seemed to shine magenta.
Hunter fought the twist in his stomach. He forced a smile; small, soft, yet mischievous. Perfectly practiced.
Belos’ thin lips quirked into a smirk.
“In that case... Tell me all about it.”
“Can I show you, instead?”
.
Revenge was not a word normally in Hunter’s vocabulary, especially not in relation to Belos, but if that was how Belos showed his love, then Hunter would give it back tenfold.

Summary
Seconds before Belos touched her, Luz shot her hand out blindly. She connected—presumably—with Belos’ stiff thigh, and the experimental glyph activated. Luz had an awesome one-liner prepared, but she found that she didn’t have time to say it.
Instead, Luz’s vision went completely white. A loud, crackling BANG! split the air and pierced her eardrums. The residual force knocked her back a pace. The magic shackles broke, as something warm and wet splashed across her cheeks.
With her ears ringing, Luz’s mind struggled to catch up with the rest of her. She felt like an outside observer to her own body as she touched her face and then looked at her hand.
Firstly she noticed that she had four fingers. This was odd because she definitely had five when the day started. Her ring finger had been reduced to a bloody little stump, coating her palm in red. Closer inspection revealed that there was a chunk of... Something… Clinging to her hand, like a bloody piece of ragged off-white cloth.
The shock protected Luz from the brunt of the pain and the confusion until eventually, the ringing in her ears died down.
Then she heard the screaming.

Summary
The countryside is where people who are unwell are sent, according to family tradition and every historical romance novel ever. Mirabel will probably not be cured by fresh air and forest walks, but she's not sure hers is the kind of thing you cure at all.

Summary
Carefully, Philip unfolded his arms. He winced at the dull ache. The sickeningly sweet, disgusting smell of rotten flesh became second nature to his senses, except Philip found now that the smell had worsened considerably. How long was he asleep for? Certainly not long enough for Caleb’s decomposition to get that much worse...
Boiling rain pounded the earth outside his cave in a constant thrum. Above him came the sick symphony of buzzing flies. Philip groaned again. Despite the shiver claiming his body, he rolled up the sleeve to his loose cotton undershirt; he thought that the sensation of the damp fabric clinging to his sensitive skin would drive him mad. Sweat coated his body like a disgusting film. His mind felt light and hazy.
Then Philip realized something. The smell that assaulted his senses was not that of carrion as he originally thought—this smell was fresher, more putrid and sour.
And it came from him.
(After a week straight of boiling rain traps Philip in his workshop with Caleb’s corpse, Philip learns why the citizens of the Boiling Isles usually cremate their dead.)
