Agatha's luck takes her from a coffee house to traveling and adventuring through Europe with Zeetha as they pick up a few more pals along the way.
Agatha wasn't the only one with a big gun out there. She aimed for a wing, as the hummingbird came in for another dive. The hummingbird lit up blue along the wings, green under its belly, and red by the eyes, with all the force hitting it. It wasn't down yet, though, and managed to hit Baba Yaga this time. Baba Yaga's top was on fire and it ran over to the nearby river and dunked itself in. (Most of the carts required someone to drive them, but Baba Yaga had a mind of its own. Probably not literally, but one never knew for sure.)

“Yes, I speak Russian,” he snapped, defensive and angry. He knew that it had been a mistake to even try to be friendly with Rozanov. “Why? Do I not look Russian to you?” He scoffed.
“No, not really,” Rozanov said. Some of his teammates laughed, although they mostly looked surprised that Shane was speaking to them at all. Rozanov didn’t laugh, though. “Are you Russian?”
“Go fuck yourself.”

Despite an inauspicious start, when Russia’s Ilya Rozanov learns that Canada’s Shane Hollander is fluent in Russian at their first World Junior Championships tournament, it changes everything and sets them on a different course. Instead of being branded as rivals from the very beginning, Ilya and Shane start off as friends.
And, after all, a little friendly rivalry never hurt anyone, did it?

“I was thinking,” Hayden says slowly, carefully, “that it might be nice to add Lily to the WAG group chat? He couldn’t come to events or anything still, and he’d have to go by Lily, but it might be… nice? A way for him to— to be a part of things.”
Jackie sits back in her seat, taking a sip of coffee as she considers her husband’s proposal.
It wasn’t a terrible idea. It’d involve lying to all the other WAGs, but Jackie wasn’t too bothered by that. If Shane ever decided to come out, they would either understand or they wouldn’t—a line that would probably pretty closely mirror those who would be okay with Shane being gay and those who wouldn’t. And those who wouldn’t—well, fuck them anyway.
“That does sound like it might be nice,” Jackie finally says, smiling when Hayden immediately sits up straighter at her approving words.
“Yeah?” Hayden checks anyways.
“Yeah,” Jackie says.
Or, despite his refusal to let her add him to the WAG group chat, Jackie manages to quickly befriend Shane’s boyfriend. It takes longer for her to understand exactly what that means.
