When Dong-mae finally sees Hui-seong again outside a teashop by the sea, it’s entirely a coincidence. It takes him entirely by surprise, because—well, honestly, he’d thought Hui-seong was also dead. He’d heard the rumors that Hui-seong had been captured, sometime after Dong-mae himself had been struck down by the other side of Musin Society, but had heard no rumors that he had ever been released.
Dong-mae isn’t a big tea person, and he’s certainly not a big Hui-seong person. But he stalks up to Hui-seong anyway, takes a seat across from him as flippantly as his battered body will allow, expects the look of surprise that comes his way.
Hui-seong pauses mid-sip, purses his lips. “Do I…know you?”

Moonjo sees exactly zero drawbacks to this idea.
...Moonjo realizes there might actually be one small, tiny, unexpected drawback to his idea when Jongwoo comes home with the cat and he almost immediately begins sneezing.
Or, in other words, Moonjo decides he's going to get Jongwoo a cat in a desperate bid for Jongwoo's attention and affection, only to realize after the cat comes home that he's allergic. Jongwoo finds this hilarious--but that still counts as attention! Cue the frustrations of a serial killer and a cat he's allergic to but begrudgingly fond of, the slow erosion of Jongwoo's coldness and carefully crafted neutrality towards Moonjo, and the gradual descent into mutual acceptance and kinky sex.

There’s a long beat of silence while the weight of Jongwoo’s words sink in. And then—
“Kiss me, Jongwoo,” Moonjo whispers, like he’s drowning.
Moonjo kinda has a pain and blood kink. After he gets himself lightly stabbed by the victim of an impulse murder, Jongwoo reluctantly patches him up, and eventually indulges him. He's wanted to break Moonjo for months now, after all.

Why he suddenly leans forward -- and captures Giyuu's lips within his own. A harsh, bruising kiss, molding the shape of their silhouettes together. Brittle but firm. Cold then warm, like winter melting into spring.
Blood roars loudly in Giyuu's ears, traveling across his flushed cheeks, straight to his coiling stomach, down lower.
He didn't think their first kiss would feel anything like that.
