The purgills nosed curiously at the large metal-flyer. They trusted their instincts which led them safely through their migrations. Now those same instincts led them here to this out of the way system at the edge of the galaxy, far from their usual routes teeming with metal-flyers, was only the one, nearly drifting as if asleep.
Perhaps it had lost its pod?
Yes, that must be why their pod was led here. They would guide this grieving metal-flyer to others of it's kind so it need not be alone.
Communicating mind-to-mind through the black the pod scattered around the metal-flyer. Their strange rescue was large but the pod was many and they allowed their instincts to dictate their formation.
The purgills picked up speed and as the distant stars streaked blue around them the metal-flyer was swept in their wake.

A brutal assault on a Cloud Recesses student leaves the Cultivation world reeling. Wei Wuxian struggles to recover, while everyone else tries to make sense of an ominous message. But since when do demons care about sect politics, anyway?
Between Wen Ruohan's rising aggression, simmering tensions across the guest disciples, and the mysterious fierce corpses still popping up all over the place, Wei Wuxian would rather ignore the confusing, horrifying visions the demon left him with.
If only the demon's taunting predictions didn't keep coming true at every turn.

Dazai seems to be back to his usual I-love-giving-Chuuya-a-headache self, and thus, loudly and proudly declares: “I have two guesses as to where we have been transported!” he pauses purely for the dramatics and just stares at Chuuya smugly, “wouldn’t you like to hear them, chibi?”
Chuuya rubs the bridge of his nose, shutting his eyes tightly, “Just spit it out, bastard.”
“So rude,” the mackerel whines at him, at which he can just groan desperately. However, the gods smile at him from the skies above, through the tiny break of sunshine in the sea of clouds, and Dazai finally gets to the point. “We have either travelled to the future, or we were transported to an alternate universe. I am more inclined to believe the first one.”
Or: Chuuya and Dazai work out their relationship while being chased by a hero or two.

Magitek Unit NH-01987 began to develop a dark spot on his left forearm early during his incubation process in the artificial womb at Magitek Facility One. The scientists who looked after the progression of the infantry trooper’s most crucial stage of development were in equal parts puzzled and intrigued by the blemish.
During his infant stage, the mark was no more than a splotch of black on the unit’s arm. Theorized to be nothing more than a slight birth defect -- nothing to be concerned about -- and certainly not enough cause to terminate the unit. But as the unit grew, the blemish began to gradually become more defined and sharpened; it became clear what the spot was.
